Chinese Compatibility Horoscope

The Ox is the second sign of the Chinese Zodiac. Similar to last year's Rat, it is about new beginnings, but this is slower and starts with good choices which end in good results.

2009 is also an Earth year as was 2008, but the big difference is its yin and not yang, which means more peaceful..think more going with the flow than being aggressive about obtaining results.

The Ox is a water element and unfortunately that runs against an Earth year..so conflicts of the elements bring disturbances. (A look at the economy and Iraq gives you an idea.) However the Ox is durable..things will get done by focusing and constant vigilence.

To that end, it's a great time for intellectual work..scholorship, research and even the arts, in particular design and

graphic art.

Focus on a few long term plans and it's time to avoid fast, quick get rich schemes.

Romance will benefit from taking one's time and evolving relationships and this can be a good time to work toward marriage.

All in all..a good year for lasting accomplishments. The one problem may be motivation and 'sticking to the plan'..but if

you do..you'll benefit for years and years to come.

The Chinese Zodiac is a 12-year cycle. Each year of the 12-year cycle is named after one of the original 12 animals.

Each animal has a different personality and different characteristics..just like the signs of the traditional zodiac. The animal is believed to be the main factor in each person's life that gives them their traits, success and happiness in their

lifetime.

The Chinese zodiac refers to a pure calendrical cycle; there are no equivalent constellations like those of the occidental zodiac. In imperial times there were astrologers who watched the sky for heavenly omens that would predict the future of the state, but this was a quite different practice of divination from the popular present-day methods.
